  6. Take 1 Vanilla stick or powder
  7. Get Cinnamon

Reduce heat to low and add the rice. Rizogalo is a traditional Greek style rice pudding flavored with vanilla beans and cinnamon. Rizogalo simply translates to "rice milk"; rizo means "rice" and galo is "milk" in Greek. The etymology of the greek word óryza or rýzi (rice) is also inconclusive.

Instructions to make Greek Rice Pudding (Rizogalo):
  1. Pour the water into a sauce pan and add the rice. Let boil for about 10 minutes.
  2. Once the rice has boiled drain, and add 3 1/2 cups of the Milk stir and simmer for 15 minutes but you need to keep stirring, so that the rice does not stick. Dissolve the Corn Flour into the 1/2 cup of Milk that’s left over and add into the sauce pan along with the Sugar. Stir and continue to boil for at least 10 minutes until thick.
  3. Once the Rizogalo has thickened add the Vanilla, stir and then pour into your desserts bowls. Let it cool for 1 hour and top with Cinnamon. This dessert can eaten warm or cold.

Heat milk with sugar and lemon peel in a saucepan, stirring occasionally. As soon as the milk reaches boiling point, add the rice and lower heat to a simmer. While the rice is cooking, make a runny paste with the cornflour and extra milk.
